No Passport!

What an exciting morning! Roxanne could not find her Chinese passport to return to Shanghai this morning. Chris took Dan to the airport for his 12:20 flight and we were going to take care of her until she could get travel documents in about 3 days. We went to the Chinese Consulate on Granville, only to be sent to Broadway. The insisted on seeing all documents she had (it seemed they were worried she was trying to sneak INTO China. While looking she found the elusive passport.

I called Luke and he was on the curb with her bags. While stuck in traffic on Marine Drive we got Dan on the phone. He was on the plane but it was delayed to 13:00. I ran in with Roxy and we got the bag passed in the special gate and I pushed our way to the front of a long line at the boarding gate saying to everyone they were holding her plane. Pru & Jan were relieved to see me come back to the car alone.

After a quick stop at a car shop to have a man punch open the door stuck on a seatbelt, we stocked up on food & wine, renewed the car insurance (Chris kindly had done the Air Care this morning) and we are now home for good. I think I'll drink wine now and sleep on the couch!
