Sleepy

Had a good sleep and got up at 8:45.  Immediately fell asleep for a while. Also slept again in the afternoon.

ICBC

I know I received my ICBC renewal but can't fnd it.  Went to BCAA and they took care of it with no problems.  Even brought me a chair to sit it.  Must have looked as tired as I felt.

Picked up dinner at Max's Deli.

Canucks have a nice long rest until Saturday - they need it.

Better day

Felt better today.  I don't have as many sores and even my lip is healing.

Funny day

Watched Canada win a deserved Bronze at the Scottie's.  Went right down to Team Canada's last rock.

Canucks started okay.  I went out for some food between periods.  Started dozing in the third and woke up to see Detroit had 8 goals.  Switched to the red carpet.

The Academy Awards were a mix of terrible and good.  A lot of the jokes fell flat and I especially winced when a Nazi ran in to say the Von Trapp family had fled.  The James Bond tribute was lame except for Shirley Bassie.  The Bond song that won this year was horrible and Adelle disappointed.

Glad that Argo remembered to thank Canada.

Feeling shaky tonight.  Early to bed.

Better night

My leg and groin started hurting against last night. Took Tylenal and sat with one of those bags you heat in the microwave.  Dozed in my chair until 3 am.  Nothing was hurting so I moved to the bed and got a good sleep.

Watched Canada lose their game against Team Canada in the Scottie's.  It was one of those games where nothing went right for BC and it all went right for TC.  Tomorrow's Bronze game is at 11, Canucks at 2 and Oscar's at 5.

The leg is starting to hurt now so I have heat on it.

Rough night

I am still waiting for my chemo to come from Ottawa and have run out.  It isn't approved or breast cancer and I am getting it through a compassionate program.  We have to work on getting the refill on time.  It has to come to the Cancer Agency and then be walked to the pharmacy at Fairmont since they can't dispense such drugs.  

One of my I tumors obviously misses it and started acting up at 5 this morning.  I couldn't stay in bed so moved to the Lazy Boy.  I dozed a lot through the day.  It it starting to hurt again now.  

Aldergrove

Spent the day around Aldergrove with Lori, Pam & Maureen.  We all had different numbers as we had found some of the caches before.  I got 32.  Pretty good for one day.  

Tasty lunch at a Tex-Mex place in Alergrove, El Restaurante Del Pollo.  I had an appetizer: Pork Taquitos (BBQ Pulled pork, rolled into 2 flour tortillas and baked with parmesan cheese, served with sour cream for dipping. $ 6.95).  Ate most of it!

Felt a lot better than last Thursday.  Still coughing and tired but breathing isn't so laboured.

Drugs are obviously working.  Ran out of the one that comes from Ottawa. We need to streamline it for the future.

There were only two of us at the mets group.  Still filled the time.

Picked up a couple of thigs at Granville Is on the way home.  Slept a lot this afternoon.

Sunny day

I seem to do better if I alternate on days with off days.  Slept in and watched TV all day.

Watched some curling and then the Canucks.  Played like amateurs.  Cory was why they came away with a point.

Phone woes

Took 10 minutes to buy a new phone for 1/2 price at London Drugs.  Also bought stuff at Cobbs and grocer next door.  

When I looked at the wires going to my old phone, it started working.  It is very old, so ill still switch to the new one.  

Felt stronger than Saturday but still slet a lot in the afternoon.  My evening was interrupted by a telemarketer in Quebec who called 15 times in 25 minutes.  Telus fixed it right away.  So relieved.  

Broken phone

My portable phone can no longer talk to the base.  What did we do before cell phones?

Had a quiet day.  Still ended up with a headache tonight.  Need therapy after Downton Abbey:(

Boundary Bay Airport

Went to a geocaching breakfast at the Bundary Bay Airport.  Quite a few attendees. Ate some eggs and toast.  Stayed for about 1 1/2 hours but was just wiped.  Finally left and forgot to pay.  Pam and Maureen took care of it. Duh moment.

Fell asleep when I got home and kept dozing on and off for the rest of the day.

Haircut

Went to the Agency to sign forms for my cancer drug and then got my hair cut really short.  See if that help my sore scalp.

Picked up some Japanese food that I split between lunch and dinner.

Much calmer day today.  TL from another district has stopped emailing.  I told her I couldn't help with her problem (I am RETIRED) and she just kept on.  Emails went from before 8 am until after lunch.  When I told her to stop emailing, she started calling me names.  I had decided to call her Principal as she was spending her work day doing this, but she stopped.  Must have read my mind.

6000

Pam, Lori and Maureen were on a mission to get me to 6,000 finds.  First we found a tricky hide near Royal Columbian and then we moved to Coquitlam.  We mainly looked for caches I didn't have.  Finally got the 16 I need to hit 6,000!   The last one was right next to the Forensic Psychiatric Unit in Colony Farm Park.  We looked so suspicious it was a wonder that no one came to check.

Had lunch at Sammy J's Grill & Bar.  Excellent tomato soup.  Lori had plastic champagne flutes for our water and they gave me a 6,000 coin and pin.  Perfect!

Was home at 4:30 and really beat.  

       

Better day

Slept until 9:30 and felt a lot better than the last few days.  Even had more of an appetite.  Didn't get dressed all day.

Pooched

Bloodwork was 8 am this morning.  Came home and fell asleep.  Saw Dr. Geddes at 11.  She wasn't impressed with what the dermatologist said about all my sores and my lip.  I'm going back to another one I've seen a couple of times.  My blood tests were good but the tumor markers will take a couple of days.  My fatigue might be a reaction to the drugs.  She ordered a CT Scan just to check the tumors and to look for anything else that might be wrong.  She decided I was just pooched - a perfect description.

Stopped at Granville Is for a couple of things and then home.  Decided not to go to the VTLA Winter Tonic.

Pope who?

It's going to be a long month until the old Hitler Youth boy is gone.  Hope they make room in the news tomorrow for Obama's State of the Union.

Felt sick most of the day and kept falling asleep.

Early Family Day lunch

Andrea works for Telus. It is federally regulated so employees don't get Family Day.  We met at my White Spot for lunch today instead.  Enjoyed a cup of chowder and brought a small Caesar home for dinner.  Kids are sure growing fast.

So engrossed in Downton Abbey, I forgot to eat my salad Until after 8.

Cloudy day

Haven't seen the sun for a while because of the clouds or fog.  Still better than a big blizzard.

Canucks just keep getting better.

No snow here

Foggy all day.  So much better than the East.  Talked to Daphne in Ontario.  She was staying in during the big snow storm.  She cleaned off the back porch for the dog.

Felt a bit better today but just took it easy.

Great game tonight.  So glad they are back.

Slept until 10 and just lazed around watching TV and playing Bejewelled.  Elaun got ahead of me tonight but I fixed that!

Group day

Stopped at VanCity for cash and to pay the ambulance bill. They are complaining that no one pays.  It is a pain to have to take it to a financial institution.  Haven't they heard of the internet?

There were 12 at my mets group.  Most in a while.  I had trouble sitting - sores and fatigue.  Got better after a while.

Bought more mouse traps on the way home.  Little buggers are back.

Slept a good part of the afternoon.  Getting old.

Langley

Met Lori, Pam & Maureen at Sungod.  Loris still driving and I navigate. Third time at a cache in Newton but no luck.  Found all the others we wanted and I logged 11.  15 more to 6,000!

Felt shaky this morning but settled down after a couple of hours. We had lunch at Choo Choo's.  I need a senior's or kid's menu these days.  Hate wasting so much food.

Closed Mondays

Actually did a bit is shopping in Richmond.  Two places close Monday.  Maybe I'll remember that for next time.  Got some soup at Tim's for lunch.

Phone woke me up at 7:40.  No one there when I picked it up.  They called back and I ignored it.  Trying to not really wake up.

Sports day

Watches Milo's Raonic win his game to get Canada into the Davis Cup team quarter finals for the first time ever.  Amazing player.  The next game wasn't needed so it didn't interfere with the Super Bowl.

Fell asleep for a while and them found today's commercials.  I liked the babies ad and the annual one with Clydesdales.  At the beginning of the game, Sandy Hook survivors sang.   Soldiers immediately marched towards them with flags and rifles - only in America!  The anthem was then destroyed.  

Halftime with Beyonce had some good spots but on the whole it bombed, too.   Why do women dress like sluts when thousands of kids are watching?  Think the mikes were shoddy.  Maybe a foreshadowing of the power outage that delayed the game for 35 minutes.  Never did figure out why they couldn't play.  Maybe they were afraid no one on that side could buy more beer.  At least the football game ended up being good.  

Davis Cup

Don't usually watch tennis but turned on the doubles at UBC.  Damn thing didn't finish untl 4.  We lost but did really well considering Spain was ranked first and their doubles team is ranked second.  Canada is way down in 12th.  Think a big error for Spain was putting one of their players in both singles and doubles.  He was soundly beaten yesterday and should be tired out after today.  One win tomorrow's two singles matches will advance us and knock out Spain.   They better win the early one so I can watch the Super Bowl.

Safeway trip

Went to Oakridge and loaded up a cart for delivery.  Great deal for $5.

Walking around did me in and I could barely make it to the car.  Much better after a rest.

Dull day

Did intend going out but never budged.  Thought my skin might improve if I did little and didn't scratch.  Managed both.

Lots to watch on my PVR.  Tonight's winner was DC Banks.  There are a few good British shows on right now - Vera, Midsomer Murders, Lewis, Poirot.
